In order to carry Gulliver from the beach to the capital, Lilliputians give him a tea that put him to sleep.  Half way to the capital Gulliver woke but stayed awake only for half of the remaining distance. What part of the way didn’t Gulliver sleep?

Muchausen was told to find the number of soldiers in the enemy's camp.  He flew to the enemy's camp very quickly on a cannonball then returned on foot.  The round trip took 1 hour and 10 minutes.  To make sure he counted soldiers correctly, he made a second trip.  This time he traveled on a cannon ball to the enemy's camp and returned at the same speed by jumping on a cannonball as it was fired from the enemy's camp.
The round trip took 20 minutes.  How much time would Muchausen spend if he walked?

Cinderella dreamed to go to the dance in the palace.  The Kind Fairy tried to assist her.   The problem was that the Kind Fairy had trouble remembering. That time the Fairy brought 3 packets with shawls for the Ball-dress. These packets were labelled as “not empty packet”, “golden shawl” and “silver shawl”. Regrettably, the Fairy had completely forgotten in which packet which shawl was. She remembered only that all titles were wrong. The worrying aspect was that as soon as one packet was opened, the others would disappear.
How can Cinderella choose the shawl for the golden dress?

Six friends:  Pastry, Cheesecake, Doughnut, Cake, Chocolate and Pudding came to Candy’s birthday party. Pastry came just after Cheesecake but before Doughnut. Cake came 1 minute before Chocolate and immediately after Pudding. Who was the last but one if Doughnut came 2 minutes earlier than Pudding?

Only two pieces of French toast can fit in a frying pan. Frying one side of one toast requires 1 minute. How is it possible to fry both sides of three toasts in 3 minutes?
